A Birdwatcher's Paradise
Located along the southeastern coast of Sri Lanka, Bundala National Park is a pristine wilderness sanctuary. It is the first wetland to be declared a Ramsar site in Sri Lanka, recognized globally for its significance as a migratory bird habitat.
Spanning over 6,200 hectares, the park comprises a mosaic of lagoons, salt pans, marshes, and thorny scrublands. It is the winter home for thousands of colorful migratory birds, including the Greater Flamingo, making it a spectacular sight for nature lovers.
