The Elephant Hub
Kaudulla National Park, a vital part of the elephant corridor connecting Minneriya and Wasgamuwa, is famous for the spectacular 'Elephant Gathering'. Between August and December, hundreds of Asian elephants converge around the Kaudulla Tank to graze on fresh grass.
Beyond elephants, the park is a mix of dry evergreen forests and grasslands, home to leopards, sloth bears, and an abundance of birdlife. It offers a quieter, more intimate safari experience compared to its neighbors.
