Yala is best visited from February to July (avoiding September/October). Minneriya is best from July to October for the Elephant Gathering.
Wear neutral colors (green, beige, brown) to blend in. Comfortable walking shoes are a must for treks. Bring a hat and sunscreen for safaris.
In Sinharaja, leeches are common, especially after rain. We recommend wearing leech socks (available locally) and using insect repellent.
